B.S. Exercise Science, NASM Certified Personal Trainer
I grew up in the Midwest with a family full of healthcare professionals. My parents both encouraged me to have an active and healthy lifestyle so naturally, I grew up loving the outdoors and sports. Following my passion of anatomy and physiology, I attended Illinois State University where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.
During my time at Illinois State, I started to pursue my dreams of being a personal trainer and was hired by my first client in Bloomington, IL. I also became a research assistant for one of my professors. Attending conferences and speaking to other researchers and students made me realize how important education was when it came to training my clients.
I moved back to the Chicago area after college and went on to train at a hospital-based fitness center. No matter what their story was, I realized that with a little guidance and motivation, everybody is capable of achieving their goals.
After going through my own personal health issues, I decided to dedicate myself to helping others improve themselves through health and fitness. It's been amazing to see my client my clients grow more confident throughout their journeys and I couldn't imagine a more rewarding career.
